KDE April by Dobbie03 KDE April by Dobbie03
First time with KDE in a long, long time. It seems more stable for me than Gnome Shell or Cinnamon.

Sticking with KDE for as long as I can, or at least until I get restless again :D

I know that feel. Beautiful setup- I'm having a hard time sticking to one thing these days, as well. KDE 4 is quite a ways into its life cycle, so it's relatively calm compared to GNOME 3, although I am very happy with both. I just need Oxygen for the cross-toolkit theming. elementaryOS Luna might sway me, but no matter what we choose we're in pretty good company on modern Linux. Is this Arch?

I normally stick to Gnome but it has failed me lately or I just can't get it to work how I like it.

I think eOS might sway me back too. No this is Kubuntu though I have been very tempted to install Chakra sometime.

I dont remember when it was the last time I used my ubuntu as I am keeping it of spare hard drive , though I keep disabling File Indexing since it keep my CPU running and increases my lap top Tempreture for a bit

Awesome shot Dobbie!! yeah I feel the same way, KDE has been rock solid and fast since I've been using it and I have really always used qt apps more than gtk. It's a :+fav: ;)

I have always been a Gnome fan, but I have felt a wee bit disillusioned with Gnome and I can't stand Unity.

I have never liked XFCE at all, it just feels unfinished to me.

You went in a circle, you should have stayed where you were :D

Well I never really liked Gnome and at the time my computer wasn't very fast and xfce just screamed on it. Yeah plus I like trying different setting out. But I think I'm here to stay in kde ;)

not a big fan of 3-d dock things, but all these elements work wonderfully together. what's the distro and KDE panel theme? and do you have open windows shown in your taskbar in the panel, or is that handled by the dock?

Thank you. The distro is Kubuntu and the panel theme is Nitrogenium. All the windows are handled via the dock, I prefer it that way.

Thanks Koleo. I'm just using dirty old AWN, it seems to be the best one for me.

It works OK, you just have to use --no-install-recommends, install awn-settings and then do some magic with the icons and it's done :D

That's great, because if I get a new pc (which I hope to do soon) then I'm installing KDE on it.
